We chose to get married up north because we absolutely love it in Charlevoix. We had guests from all across the country who never knew what northen Michigan had to offer. Having our guests stay at Weathervane was an obvious choice because it had so much to offer and allowed our guests to experience all Charlevoix had to offer. The Weathervane has a great restaurant which our guests said they really enjoyed.
They are walking distance to downtown Charlevoix which let our guests shop and dine and see the beauty of the town. It also has access to the beach right on Lake Michigan which is so beautiful we wanted every guest to be able to see it. We were able to have a majority of our guests stay there and we even stayed there ourselves! It was so nice to have friends and family stay in one place!
Another advantage to having guests stay at the Weathervane was that it was easy for them to get to and from Castle Farms. The people that work there were also very helpful and easy to work with. The rooms are very nice and unique, they all seemed a little different. We loved our experience at the Weathervane and so did our guests!

| David and Lonny Jorgensen wedding was May 30th, 2008 |

After our wedding, at Castle Farms, my entire wedding party and 60% of our guests had rooms booked at The Weathervane. The man at the front desk was so nice to our entourage...considering they probably woke the other guests. He was so kind as to open the breakfast room for those of us that were not ready to call it a night. They were able to play cards and games until morning...or so I was told. It meant alot to me (as the bride) that my friends have a good time since we all lived so far from Charlevoix. Although it was spelled incorrectly, the welcome sign in the lobby said " Welcome Jorginson wedding party", it meant alot to us to feel welcome there.
When my new husband and I opened the door to our room...we felt like royalty! A beautiful wedding at Castle Farms and a beauitufl room at The Weathervane Terrace. Our wedding day was also our anniversary...he suprised me with the biggest bouquet of flowers I'd ever seen which made the room smell like a rose garden. So Congratulations! If your goal was to make a happy bride a tearful, well-rested, relieved, and stress-free bride then you did it! I could not be more happy.
The following morning...after we all peeled ourselves off the sheets...I welcomed my family and friends in the dining room and heard stories of how much fun they had. That is all I wanted, so Thank you for helping make that happen.
